Ailish is an Australian based artist driven by the desire to create and share. Haus Collage & Stoneware is a space where two of her favourite art mediums collide and are shared with other lovers of handmade art. Ailish draws inspiration from her surrounding nature and the human form, diving into the contemporary whilst holding onto and using traditional methods.
"This body of work is a collection of stoneware sculptures, inspired by a personal collection of rocks shaped by the ocean’s tide. It is an interpretation of the shapes and objects amongst nature that reflect unique beauty. Each sculpture enhances the chips, rounded edges, and hollowed out areas of rocks which have been slowly eroded by the ocean tides, generating a sense comfort and familiarity."
